Sister Sophia Peters, FSE, Executive Director, Franciscan Life Center, welcomes Sister John Mary Sullivan as the new Director.  Sister John Mary was the Associate Director for Ministries and Outreach for the Archdiocese of Vancouver for 10 years.  Prior to her position in Vancouver she was a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist on staff at the Franciscan Life Center, a licensed psychiatric outpatient center. She is assuming her new role as Director and resuming her position as a therapist.

Sister John Mary has a Masters of Theological Studies from the John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University.

The present leadership of the Franciscan Life Center brings a new generation of Sisters carrying forth the vision of Mother Shaun Vergauwen, FSE, Foundress, and Sister Barbara Johnson, FSE, Executive Director of 19 years, and Sister Mary Elizabeth Endee, Director.

Sister Sophia and Sister John Mary will continue to uphold the Franciscan Life Center mission rooted in the sacredness of human life, the dignity of the human person, and the potential for growth in each client while striving to meet the psychosocial, spiritual and educational needs of individuals and families.
