During a week of dramatic weather and extreme heat, twelve remarkable teens completed the 2021 Summer Youth Leadership Program on the Franciscan Life Center Campus. A program graduate, Gus, assisted Dr. Thomas Finn, PhD, Sister Frances Zajac, FSE, and Sister Francesca Silver, FSE, in games and challenges designed to develop trust and leadership.
The Summer Youth Leadership Program is a program of the Franciscan Life Center for teens age 13 and 14. The program is supported by generous donations from the local community, including the Cuno Foundation and the Ion Bank Foundation. Despite the heat, the youth developed new friendships, embraced new experiences, and, if smiles are sufficient evidence, they had fun!
