In Memory of John Vergauwen
On January 17, 2022, John R. Vergauwen died unexpectedly while on his way to the hospital after having trouble breathing. John’s death has been a shock and we are deeply saddened. He was a devoted husband and son, loving father, dedicated employee of the Franciscan Life Center, and beloved nephew of Mother Shaun Vergauwen, FSE. Please join us in praying for him and for his family.
We will miss John’s kind and friendly presence. For over ten years, John has been an important member of the Franciscan Life Center staff. He was always happy to know you and to find something in common with you. New employees received a warm welcome from John during orientation and could rely on him when they had questions. As a regular volunteer at the Franciscan Christmas Fair food ticket booth, he had a ready laugh and easy smile for all. With hope in the promise of the Resurrection, which John believed so faithfully, we pray that he and all who sleep in Christ rest in peace.
