DESCRIPTION:The Franciscan Life Center is offering a presentation on a contemporary approach to ecology given by Sister Damien Marie Savino\, FSE\, Ph.D.  A Call from the Heart: A Franciscan Approach to Ecology reflects on how inner human healing and outer ecological healing mutually impact each other in the human vocation to care for creation. \nSister Damien Marie Savino is a Franciscan Sister of the Eucharist who holds a doctorate in Civil/Environmental Engineering and master’s degrees in theology and soil science. She is the author of Learning the Language of Creation: Catholic Social Teaching and Integral Ecology. She serves as the Melchor Visiting Research Professor in the College of Engineering at the University of Notre Dame\, with a concurrent appointment in the McGrath Institute for Church Life. \nJoin us Thursday\, April 9\, 2026\, 7:00 to 8:00 PM\, followed by a reception\, Franciscan Life Center Campus\, 271 Finch Avenue\, Meriden\, CT.  Register online or call 203-237-8084.
