SUMMARY:Youth Leadership
DESCRIPTION:Registration Form for Youth Leadership Program\nThe Franciscan Life Center is offering a leadership-training program for young people ages 13 and 14. This exciting weeklong program involves experiential and interactive learning.  The participants will experience low and high outdoor challenge course activities\, as well as participate in group discussions and team building exercises.  Areas of focus will include communication skills\, teamwork\, problem-solving and building self-esteem. \nThe Challenge Course facilitator is Dr. Thomas Finn\, a licensed clinical psychologist on staff at the Franciscan Life Center.  Franciscan Sisters and Brothers of the Eucharist assist Dr. Finn with the Challenge Course activities. \nThe program will be held during the week of June 24 – June 28\, 2019\, on the campus of the Franciscan Life Center\, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.  The cost for the program is $250.00 per person. Spots are limited so register early.  \nParticipants are responsible for their lunch. Drinks and snacks are provided.  Each participant must be able to demonstrate responsibility\, cooperation with others and an ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines\, in order to complete the training program. \nParticipants must complete the registration form and return it with the fee to the Franciscan Life Center\, 271 Finch Avenue\, Meriden\, CT 06451\, by Monday\, May 27\, 2019.  Checks should be made payable to the Franciscan Life Center.  If you have any questions\, please call 203-237-8084. \nEach participant will receive a packet of additional information by mid-June to be completed and returned to the Franciscan Life Center either by mail or on the first day of the program. \n
